Restaurant Daou in Montreal

Daou offers top of the line Lebanese food. You can’t go wrong, the whole menu is delicious. Their meat melts in you mouth like a butter cookie (pause). However, the service is missing a smile. When there’s private parties the parking gets pretty full, so just park next door in the strip mall; next to Tim Hortons.

A Lebanese restaurant with high quality meat. Taste great, but should have been served with sauce or gravy so they're more moist. We separately bought humus and salad. Pretty expensive I must say, but a nice place for special occasion.

Awesome food, awesome service, very reasonable price. Just to give you an idea, at Amir (a Lebanese fast food place) a plate will cost you 15$. Here you can get a really nice plate for $20 which also includes olives and turnips and awesome service

Quality food, authenic recipes and cool service

This is the best Lebanese restaurant in Montreal. Authentic cuisine prepared by Jamal. Owners Chadia, Souad and Gladys are extremely nice, friendly and charming. Really the food is the best.... almost as good as an orgasm! Haha

I went there with my son, wife and friend in September, they forgot our food, waited over an hour?? I am wondering was it an honest mistake or was it because we are black?? Hmm... I am not going back to find out!! The food was ordinary I expected better for the price I paid. Us people really like to get quality for the $$ we spend..

Food is good but its super expensive for what you get. Much better options out there.

Excellent middle eastern food. Healthy, well priced with excellent friendly service. Been going there regulatly since 1977. Food always served perfect.

From the outside, I thought this location was closed or abandoned until some coworkers suggested eating here.Food is fantastic and the service is great.

Excellent food , very friendly

Very good libanese restaurant. Very much an institution in the area. The food is authentic and very well executed. The fattoush salad and humus are a must. The kibbe were also very good. The meats were really good especially the steak. Very tender and tasty. Service was really good, efficient waiters. Decor would need a refresh and the restaurant absolutely needs to get rid of that very annoying & loud birthday song coming on about 5 to 10 times in the evening. You have to live it to understand :)

Great food and service

Food was great but the bathroom's were discusting. Broken toilet seat, broken latch for flushing. Realy the place was packed. Food is great but some people had to go to the Tim Horton's next door to go the bathroom.

Decor might be a bit Spartan but the food omg awesome Best Lebanese food around It like home cooked fresh as ever I normally go they with my in-laws (Lebanese) and we have a feast The last time we ordered takeout for Canadian thanksgivings and it was spectacular a must go place if you love Lebanese food

Food was good. Not amazing, just good. Service was minimal. We barely saw our waiter.We brought a cake for our friend as a surprise...unfortunately the kitchen dropped the cake we brought. The waiter walked up to our table and told us all that our cake fell and ruined the surprise we had hoped for.They replaced our entire cake with an assortment of 6 desserts after we insisted they do something to make up for their accident. The manager didn't even come to the table and apologize!!First and last time there.

Appetizers were good. Chicken lacked flavour and rice was dry.

Very good. The portions are a perfect size for sharing.

It's pretty good but not upscale. Prices are reasonable. I wish they would update the look of the place as it looks outdated and the carpet really has to go. I've tried a little of everything here and I find that the menu should have dishes that include rice and a side instead of adding everything separately. The dish I last had here was the filet mignon. Although I enjoyed the taste very much, I did not like that it was presented with french fries. Also, the photo frames of Celine Dion have to go. Parking is difficult and you will probable be guided to park at Tim Hortons next door. Can't say I'll go back until this place has a makeover.

Very average experience. The food is decent and so is the service. You can definitely find a better spot to eat traditional Lebanese food.

Classic lebanese food but oh so great

My absolute favourite Lebanese Restaurant in Montreal. A family owned Restaurant, all the food is made with love and care. I've been coming here for over 20 years, and the food has not changed one bit. What strikes you here is the quality and the freshness of the ingredients. Everything here is just so good. Highly recommended, and if you want to come on a Friday/Saturday evening, reservations are also highly recommended. Enjoy!

My absolute all-time favourite restaurant. I've been going since I was a kid. Both locations. This particular one is directly across the street from my doctor's office so every month, after my appointment I always eat there or pick up and bring it home.

Good food, gauging expensive...

The food is absolutely amazing, especially the beef.

I never write google reviews, but I truly felt this one was deemed necessary. My family and I were in town visiting all the way from Florida, and this location was recommended to us by my sisters friend. Needless to say, the food was phenomenal! The waiter was super welcoming and made us feel like we were back home as a result of his hospitality. The location itself is very clean as well as the food! I’m sitting in the restaurant typing this while I’m already thinking about the next time we visit and what I want to order! 10/10 reccomend!

This is my go to place for amazing Lebanese food. The proprietor, Chadia is so warm and kind. The Muhammara is to die for. Love the Turnips and Olives with the Pita. I also enjoy the Babaganoush and Hummus. The service is so fast and the food never disappoints. It is always busy regardless of if it is a weekday or weekend. If you like doing small plates and/or tapas as well as something healthy, this is a great place to visit!

There is no amount of words to describe how good the food and the service is here. They treat you like family and you feel greeted and welcomed as soon as you step in. They will always make sure you have everything you need from filling up your glass with water when empty to making sure the food is always top notch. I 100% recommended going there for a nice and pleasant meal and the atmosphere will definitely make you feel like eating all night. The food is spot on and the variety of Lebanese dishes will for sure surpass your likings. The Kibbeh Nayeh (minced raw lamb mixed with fine bulgur and spices) is made to perfection every single time.
